Who we are

This website is operated by ELIZIN AUTO SALES, trading as ELIZIN AUTO SALES, of 100 Campbell Ave, Unit 1-D, Kitchener, Ontario N2H 4X8, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this site.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and any applicable provincial privacy legislation.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us:

• Contact and vehicle enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, your message, and which vehicle you asked about.
• Financing enquiries: the above, plus the budget, down payment, employment status and self-reported credit range you provide. We do not ask for your SIN, banking details or date of birth through this website, and you should never send them to us by email.
• Sell or trade enquiries: the details and photos of the vehicle you are offering.
• Technical information: your IP address, which we store briefly and only to rate-limit our forms against spam.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, arrange a test drive, prepare a financing option or value your vehicle — and to keep a record of that conversation. That is the only purpose. If we ever want to use your details for something else, such as a newsletter, we will ask first.

Consent

Submitting a form on this site is your consent for us to contact you about that enquiry. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at the address below, subject to any legal or contractual records we are required to keep.

Who can see it

Enquiries are visible to our staff only. Our website and database are hosted with Vercel Inc. and Neon Inc., and uploaded photos are stored with Vercel Blob. These providers process data on our behalf, and your information may be stored on servers located in the United States.

If you choose to go ahead with financing, we will tell you exactly which lender we are sending your information to, and ask for your consent before we send it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and we delete them when they are no longer needed. Rate-limiting records are deleted automatically within days.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, the admin area is password protected and accessible to staff only, and access to enquiries is limited to people who need it. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Cookies

The public side of this site sets no cookies. A single session cookie is used in the staff admin area to keep our own people signed in.
